What can be a better test of a FOSS maintenance protocol than an unmaintained project?

Many of you may have heard the news about @nolan's awesome becoming unmaintained this week. One of the strengths of is our ability to fork and remix code to meet challenges like this.

With that in mind I figure it's not too hard to start a fork of Pinafore. If you're not familiar with C4 please visit github.com/weex/pinafore and click on the first linked word in the readme.

I invite any and all who use or contributed to Pinafore, or want to get their feet wet in FOSS. Feel free to add Problems to the tracker and we'll go from there!

online culture observation 

Online nobody needs to own anything, because instants can't be owned.

Online culture is formed of discrete packets of content in which ownership of what's involved is usually left out. If you're in a store trying on a hat and take a picture and that picture goes viral, owning the hat was unnecessary. The space, the objects, the lighting... everything that went into that image became part of your product. You don't have to own anything to come up with fresh content, you simply need to go somewhere, take pictures and share them. Where can you find the most content? A park. A mall. The library. A festival. A swap meet.

But if you want hats to be available in the future, consider buying the hat.
